CPA Alexander N,Chonjo is a founder of this professional firm, holds C.P.A(T) certificate ,and is Registered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (Tanzania) as a Fellow Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice[ FCPA 840], Associate member of Tanzania Association of Accountants ATAA, Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Global) CPA .Chonjo has a carrier in Accountancy and Auditing that spans over thirty (30) years having worked for Ernst and young as Senior Auditor for ten (10) years , as Chief Accountant for nine(9) years with Ker and Downey Safaris Limited a subsidiary company of Friedkin Adventure Inc. of Houston Texas USA, Massawe and company Authorized Accountants and Auditors, Arusha as Senior Auditor /Accountant for three (3) years.
Worked for Tanzania seed co Limited headquarters Arusha for six (6) years as Accountant grade one. Worked for Pannell Bellhouse Mwangi &Company Chartered Accountants as Audit and Accounting Assistant for four (4) years. While with Ernst and Young CPA.Chonjo was a senior Auditor in charge of planning, execution of audits in areas of high risk, supervision of audit team, conclusion of audits and report writing, for medium and large clients, in manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, Non-governmental Organizations, banks and Insurance companies, donor funded projects and programmes. Farming business, construction business also was involved in doing performance audit for the Ministry of Natural resources and Tourism on forestry and beekeeping department, he was a supervisor for 8 districts visited.
Also CPA Chonjo worked for ELCT Head quarters Arusha in the Audit Division as Auditor General his duties and responsibilities been overall in charge of all audits of the church that is audit of all dioceses of ELCT including over eighty (80) institutions like hospitals, colleges, schools, hotels and university colleges. CPA Chonjo has attended various courses and seminars conducted by Ernst and Young Nairobi Kenya, and Harare -Zimbabwe in audit methodologies and audit of financial institutions. Also CPA.Chonjo continued to attended various seminars and workshops conducted by NBAA Tanzania in order to comply with regulations for continued professional development (CPD) and keep up to date with changes taking place in regard to International Accounting Standards and International Standards on Auditing.
